WHERE ARE THEY???

When I think about how many African Americans have made it big, it saddens me to note the lack of a cohesive effort to establish pillars of accomplishment. Pillars so strong that they provide a PERMANENT foundation for youth living in inner cities.

There are many pioneers…true warriors who take it upon themselves to start their own day cares, schools, movements, recreation facilities, sports programs, services, businesses etc.

However, the central question to all of these efforts is one which I am certain, all of these warriors have asked at least once throughout their careers - wondering why they feel so alone in trying to do something positive for the youth.

 ….WHERE ARE THEY?

Sometimes this question, I find that I ask in frustration…

Frustration after calling the offices of so many people with hope that they might support a guy like me with ideas, a packed resume, teaching experience, hood consciousness, Ivy League education, Masters Degree, emcee, dope lyricist, ill technical and management skills, and a vision for inner city culture…Yo, if you really lookin for positive, it doesn't get better… but I'm dealin with secretaries and letters talkin about unsolicited material!

Anyway, maybe I'm just not lookin' in the right places? Get at me if you think you can help me find  people who one would think, should be interested in what I'm doing…

For the right person who can SEE what I potentially have here, it is a very lucrative investment. I'll be praying…
