Gospel Play..."True Love"
by Ms. Beverly Banks

(c) 2001 2-BZ Media Inc. - all rights reserved.

Having been part of this play has been a true blessing! It is the story of a young lady who did not find the true meaning of love until she got saved.  The victim of child abuse and sexual molestation, she grew up with drinking problems similar to her mother.

Lookin' for love in all the wrong places, she became sexually overactive.  She became a victim of the male predator who wanted nothing to do with "love."

Filled with fear, anger, frustration and a sense of hopelessness, she attempts to take her life.  The spirit of an angel appears and intercedes for her in the exact time of need.

Enduring her struggle with the help of sincere friends, she is able to overcome her problems by accepting the Lord. There is often heavy emotion in the crowd since many eXperience these tragic phenomena (broken homes, sex abuse, misguided love and affection, drinking, smoking, drugs, etc).

This play is based on the testimony of Beverly Banks...it is her true life story.  Positive/Gospel rapper "tOObizzy mc" closes out the play with a song from his debut album "Tragic Phenomena" entitled "Break the Cycle." He was recruited for this role since the song encourages his listeners to break generational curses on their lives.
