Ignorance causin much too much pain, death, and destruction, please allow me to explain...
by sharin' the stories of high school students who are now deceased...cause they didn't understand.

Verse 1

Sad story about Henri, a very friendly persona, known as a social magnet...
not afraid a nothin, cute as a button wida smile sayin' somethin...
the kind a kid when you see him y'wanna hug him, girlies all around him.
Not the best lookin' but everyone crazy loved him, tuggin' at his life was his surroundings, tension mounting, serious family problems compounding...lack a money not funny,
no dummy, this is real y'gotta put food in the tummy...so life a crime was his decision,
sellin' rocks, stealin' cars, packin' glocks...no doubt, anotha one on the way to prison,
thinkin' he could make it at the fast pace but face it y'can't live this life for long,
before you're gone, now he's locked down in Hagerstown...mad serious situation
he facin'...furious and curious wit jus seventeen years of experience...
tryin' to be cool as he could wishin' he was back in school, in the hood.
Tried to make 'dis a scene from Holywood but could not...doin' all the things
the code says he should not, and he would not be disrespected or messed with
but it's rough in the pen, an' arrogance is a death wish, one day in the yard,
disrespected a guard, puttin'up facads like he hard, played the wrong card,
mad beef wit inmates and tried to cool it out, laugh it off...ha ha ha! Nah! too late,
back at 'de school 'dis really wouldn't mean nothin' but in d'school a hard knocks
disrespect causes mad shock...the thrill of revenge wakes inmates up like alarm clocks.
The infuriated jail mate grabbed a sharp piece of his wheel chair, stabbed Henri in
the neck just past the right ear...and beat him down murdering him resulting in...

descending caskets parallel to the ground.

*These are true war stories that I learned of by interviewing a teacher named Mrs. Allen (R.I.P.) who knew these kids.  The highschool is in the inner city of Baltimore.
