Fellowship Church Membership
Church Membership refers to the local fellowship of believers gathered for the purpose of identification as WORLD FELLOWSHIP. We recognize and acknowledge that a person cannot enter into the Body of Christ by works or by doing good, or by being in the membership of any local church. (Gal. 2:16, 3:5; Eph. 2:8-9). The only way to become a member of the Body of Christ is by being born again of the Spirit of God - i.e. by confessing sins, receiving cleansing through the Blood of Jesus Christ and placing faith in the Name of Jesus. Membership in WORLD FELLOWSHIP indicates a commitment to its vision, goals and objectives and to the other members, to work through and along with this local body to fulfill the purposes of Christ in the earth, and through this body, seek to develop to full maturity in Christ, submitting to the leadership. (Eph. 4:11-13; I Cor. 12:27-28). This is necessary to help you to clarify the nature of your commitment in order to channel your gifts, talents, abilities, and resources in a coordinated way to accomplish a common task - that of preaching the Gospel, making disciples of all men. It facilitates the environment for "the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry; the edifying and maturing of the body, bringing it into the unity of the faith." It also confirms the agreement of the prospective members to support the vision, goals and objectives of WORLD FELLOWSHIP and therefore encouraging: RESPONSIBILITY
Membership is a commitment on both sides. Those who are committed to us, we MUST be committed to them. Therefore, all the activities and ministries of the Fellowship are open to and are for the well-being of the membership. It is the strong desire and commitment of the leadership, in obedience
to the Word of God as a key purpose for which this Fellowship was born,
to seek to create a climate among us, of deep and genuine fellowship, loving
and caring for one another. We desire to do this in an atmosphere
charged with faith, love and hope where the Spirit of the Lord is present
to minister and care for the needs of those who are among us.
